The School’s aim is to provide a safe, happy, caring and well ordered environment, in which learning can take place and where each child is valued as an individual. To achieve this, the school aims:
To develop the essential skills of oracy, literacy and numeracy in the context of a broad and balanced curriculum, stemming from the child’s first-hand experience and secondary sources, and to use these skills effectively in intellectual, imaginative and creative contexts.
To help individuals develop lively and enquiring minds, the ability to question and reason rationally and to apply themselves to tasks and physical skills in an independent and confident way.
To encourage in children a caring attitude, respect and understanding for others and to develop in them a sense of responsibility as contributors to their immediate environment and to the world in which they live.
